Azulejos Agency

Azulejos is a boutique literary agency specializing in translation rights for authors writing in languages other than English.

Azulejos was founded in 2024 by translator and literary consultant Ruth Ahmedzai Kemp.

Ruth is an award-winning translator from Arabic, German and Russian. She has published over 30 translations in the last decade, including fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels and children’s books. Her translations have been published by Penguin Random House, PanMacmillan, Oneworld, Pushkin Press, b small, Neem Tree Press, The History Press and others in the UK, by Amazon Crossing, Arctis and Restless Books in the USA, and by Seagull Books in India.

Azulejos is currently open to submissions from authors writing children’s and teen fiction in Arabic, for ages 8-18.
